6. First Freeform Filter Block Display for Blogs

Filter blocks allow you to display page teaser text and images in a list format. Titan CMS also gives you the option to display the First Freeform Block from a page(s) rather than teaser image and text. Custom content can help when you would like to add links or images to teaser text.

At the top of your page, add a Freeform block with the content, links, images, etc., you would like displayed in your Filter block.

Your Filter Block will now display the First Freeform Block from whatever pages you selected in the navigation tree of your site.

9. Remove .htm to any ending for a page URL

Login to workstation and go the Titan Admin Module. From there, select Content Sites and then choose the globe that you’d like to remove the .htm from by clicking on the site name next to the globe.
Scroll down, and you’ll Site Configuration. From there, you can edit the Default Page URL Template and the Page URL Regular Expression Tester.

Default Page URL Template - Used to generate the default Page URL for newly created CMS Items. This value is only used when a new CMS Item is created; after an item is created only the author/editor can change the Page URL.The template URL can contain substitution parameters. These include:

  • %PATH% Takes the parent's Page URL, removes any document extension and appends the name of the new document. For example if the parent's Page URL is /Path/To/Parent.htm, the new item's name is ChildDocument, and the Page URL Template is %PATH%.htm, the default Page URL for the new document will be /Path/To/Parent/ChildDocument.htm
  • %DocID% will substitute the ID for the newly created document. For example, if the Page Template URL were /display/router.aspx?DocID=%DocID%, then all Page URLs would appear similarly. A document with an ID of 42 would appear as /display/router.aspx?DocID=42
  • %FileName% will substitute the name of the uploaded file. Whereas %PATH% will create a psuedo path to the uploaded file, using %FileName% can be used to create a fixed path to your files. For example, if the Template URL was /FileDirectory/%FileName%, then all uploaded files would take on similar page URLs, giving the site user the appearance that all files resided in the same directory.

Page URL Regular Expression Tester - If you want to be able to force a standard naming format for Page URLs. This regular expression is applied to the Page URL value before a save can occur. If the author/editor's Page URL does not match, the CMS Item cannot be saved. To have no standarduse the following  ^.*$
