About Titan CMS

In 1997, software engineers at Northwoods Web Solutions first developed Titan CMS, a browser-based enterprise content management system. Within a year, Titan was powering world class websites at Briggs & Stratton and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, and became available for widespread purchase in 2002.

As the role of the web continued to expand, so did Titan CMS. Since its launch, multiple features have been added, including filtering and sorting capabilities (like those found on large ecommerce stores such as Amazon) as well as video integration, blogs and social media support.

Some of the most robust features you’ll find on the current version of Titan CMS include:

  • Product catalogs
  • Dealer locators
  • SEO optimization
  • Photo galleries
  • Responsive templates
  • Mobile app integration
  • Multiple website and language support
  • Standard intranet and extranet features
  • Workflow capabilities
  • And many more

Each year, the team at Northwoods releases at least two versions of Titan, featuring enhancements, new modules and bug fixes. (We also publish detailed release notes, so our clients stay on top of the latest Titan CMS news.)

Today, Titan CMS is used by thousands of authors and editors to maintain more than 750 public and private websites across the globe, from small non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. As a fully licensed commercial product, Titan CMS is supported by third parties, integrates well with other software systems (such as CRMs and marketing automation packages), and has an active user community.

The Team Behind Titan CMS

Titan CMS is fully developed and supported by a team of software engineers, web designers and usability experts at Northwoods Web Solutions. It is built on the latest Microsoft technology and gives you the ability to update your website from anywhere in the world using the browser of your choice. It supports common web languages including HTML5, jQuery, JavaScript, XSL and more.

Because Northwoods treats employees (and clients!) like family, we have very little staff turnover and celebrate high client retention rates.

For example, our employees, including our Titan CMS developers, average 10 to 18 years of experience with the company. Likewise, the average Northwoods client has been with us for at least five years.

The Titan CMS Client Partnership

The entire Northwoods team is dedicated to our clients – and Titan CMS. Because all of our employees use Titan CMS daily, there is always someone available to help if you get stuck.

While we think Titan CMS is great, we aren’t naive enough to think it’s perfect. We take pride in actually listening when clients make suggestions to improve Titan CMS. We even hold bi-annual Titan CMS User Group (or TUG) Meetings at our Milwaukee location, giving users the opportunity to ask our Titan CMS development team questions directly and vote on new features.
