Image Sizes
Titan CMS automatically creates multiple image versions at various sizes on upload. It uses the longest edge (height or width) and keeps the original aspect ratio. You do not need to upload multiple image sizes. The only exception is a Spotlight or Teaser image, which are automatically cropped by Titan CMS. If the cropping isn’t ideal, you may want to upload a separate Teaser or Spotlight image.

- A photo uploaded at 1280 x 400px will have a “Large” size of 640 x 200px.
- If you input a square image at 1200 x 1200px, the “Large” size will be 640 x 640px.
- If an image is uploaded smaller than 640px on its longer edge, the system is unable to create a “Large” size, but it will create any sizes smaller than the original image.
- The exception to the rule of maintaining aspect ratio is the “Thumbnail” size. Titan CMS will automatically crop, from the top left, any image into a square.
- Custom image sizes can be created or added to match your site’s design.
