The previous PIC Wire & Cable website offered product information pages as well as a separate collection of somewhat cumbersome online calculators that if used sequentially, would direct users to the right products. But the PIC team needed a more user-friendly site to quickly provide product details and accurately show which cables and associated connectors would work best for a given project. 

So Northwoods’ UX experts created a new website strategy and refreshed the site map allowing users to find what they needed in fewer clicks. And our team developed custom data sites, which allow site authors and managers to add and edit structured content, for the many wires, connectors, and assemblies PIC offers, bringing most of the previously disjointed functionality into one tool.

Now users can easily filter to their desired product configuration, while calculating loss of the system. That data is then pushed to a detail table and instantly becomes available in a combined PDF with spec sheets and associated materials. The result is a polished new website, built and managed on Titan CMS, that offers a more seamless experience and aligns with PIC’s commitment to make its customers’ jobs easier.
