How Titan CMS Helped

Durham County was looking for more than a website redesign. They needed a trusted partner who could help them rethink their entire digital experience from the ground up. 

On the previous site, residents struggled to find what they needed, contending with confusing navigation, unreliable search functionality, and an overall user experience that fell short of expectations. A large volume of outdated, fragmented content was spread across seven different websites, all of which needed to be consolidated, updated, and migrated to a single, unified platform. The County also needed to address accessibility gaps and provide a multilingual experience built for Durham County’s diverse community, going beyond just mirroring content across English and Spanish pages.

Driven by strategy and UX research, our digital experts made vast improvements to the website navigation, search functionality, and content organization. We migrated over 500 pages of content to Titan CMS, working closely with Durham County throughout the process. Our team provided content management and accessibility training to more than 100 content authors and implemented a new translation solution (G-Translate) that delivers a seamless multilingual experience. 

The redesigned navigation and Titan CMS's powerful search functionality delivered measurable results, with a 31% decrease in time spent on search pages, showing residents can find what they need faster and with less frustration.
