Titan Content Management – Training Offerings

CMS-101: Content Author Basics for Titan 6.x

This classroom course is designed for beginning content authors and administrative staff who use the Titan CMS workstation to manage content on your web site. You will learn how to add, copy, delete pages, work with text, links, photos and styles using the FreeForm block, use the FAQ block, learn basic SEO techniques and more.

Recommended Prerequisites: 

  • A working knowledge of browsing the Internet
  • Experience with Microsoft Word

Duration: 1 day

CMS-201: Power User Training for Titan 6.x

This classroom course is designed for experienced content authors and administrative staff who use the Titan CMS workstation to manage one or more web sites. Learn the functionality of additional blocks, including Forms, Filters, Calendars, and others to enhance the display of your content. Learn to resize, rotate and crop images right within the Titan CMS workstation.  Learn additional techniques for enhancing the organization and delivery of your content. Learn some of the tips and tricks to using the Titan CMS Workstation™ to increase your productivity.

Recommended Prerequisites:

  • A working knowledge of Internet Explorer 10+  and Firefox
  • CMS-101

CMS-301: Website Administration for Titan 6.x

This classroom course is designed for your “webmaster” and for system administrators who are responsible for maintaining Titan in their organizations. Administrators will learn how to add and remove users, maintain workflow, setup commenting and ratings, schedule jobs, manage smart search results and more.  This class is customized to meet your specific technical education requirements.

Recommended Prerequisites:

  • A working knowledge of Titan basics
  • Experience with HTML
  • CMS-201 or equivalent 

Duration: 1 day

CMS-501 – Developer: Layout and Blocks  

This classroom course is designed for programmers with working knowledge of .Net C#, XHTML, XSLT and CSS. Our technical trainers will show you how to integrate the Titan CMS Test Harness into Visual Studio and begin using the Titan CMS API. We will cover how to modify existing blocks and templates in Titan and build new ones. Class size is limited to four people and is less structured than other classes so we can adapt to the technical levels of the participants.  

Prerequisites:

  • Thorough understanding of Titan basics
  • Working knowledge of .Net C#, XHTML, and XSLT 
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • CMS-101 or equivalent 

Duration: 1 day
Cost: $1,500 per student

Classes are from 8:30am to 4:00pm at Northwoods

 

CMS-502 – Developer: Application Integration, External User Authentication

Designed for programmers with working knowledge of .Net C#, XHTML, XSLT and CSS. Our technical trainers will show you how to integrate the Titan Test Harness into Visual Studio and begin using the Titan API. We will cover how to build applications for use by the Application Block and link them into Titan. We will also cover the various methods used by Titan for authentication, including Activice Directory / LDAP integration, integrated authentication, and federated token authentication. Class size is limited to four people and is less structured than other classes so we can adapt to the technical levels of the participants.

  • Thorough understanding of Titan basics
  • Working knowledge of .Net C#, XHTML, and XSLT 
  • Experience with HTML and CSS
  • CMS-101 or equivalent
